By studying Shakespeare's plays and poetry, students will learn to read text accurately, critically and imaginatively, and explore Shakespeare's world and his relevance to ours. Through reading, discussion, and written analysis, we will examine Shakespeare's work in light of the historical, political, cultural contexts in which Shakespeare wrote and ultimately consider the question "Why is Shakespeare's work still important to us?"
